WINTER BREAKS

If you wish to take a short winter break we charge a flat rate of £250 for up to 7 days. Our costs are higher in the winter and it is important to us that you are comfortable with no additional charges for electricity.

We also offer long term breaks in the winter and the  minimum stay is 2 months between November and March. The cost is £750 pcm inclusive of heating and electricity. Guests would be responsible for their own cleaning and laundry using our facilities provided.

Our winter visitors appreciate the peace of quiet during winter when the island reverts to its native inhabitants. Fodele being a working village, remains open, unlike the resorts. This means that you can use the Tavernas ; the bakery and the 2 small supermarkets. You will become part of the village community within a short time. One of our guests who stayed in Daisy 2 years ago, has never returned to England !

There is a very small English presence in Fodele.......may be 10 people in all.

You can lease a car  in the village and visit every corner of the island. We are so centrally placed in Crete that no journey should be too demanding. The roads are quiet ; the queues have gone and the island is yours to enjoy !
