You may well be concerned about your £ as you look for a holiday this year. May we reassure you about a holiday in Crete.
- You may wish to consider saving your money on car hire and using the airport transfers that we can offer you. Excursions can be arranged for those days when you wish to explore further afield.
- Your £ goes much further in a genuine working village like Fodele. Their prices cater for locals as well as the many Cretans who love to visit this special village.
- Prices are considerably lower than the resorts and you have the opportunity to cut your costs further by making good use of the village bakery or our own barbecue.
- I had a meal at Big George's in September 2010 and for 7 people the total cost was 56 Euros. The meals included 2 good sized mixed grills and 3 fish courses and all the guests had a drink. We were given complementary sweets comprising of fruit set in proper Greek Yoghurt and enough Raki to send you home with a nice glow.
- You can cook your own meals on our full size cooker, using local vegetables and meat. As from September 2010 we have added a slow cooker so you can use the delicious local ingredients, leaving it on low while you sample the delights of Crete. It also gives us males the opportunity to exercise low technology skills and produce great food at the same time ! Alternatively you can use the barbecue by the pool.

- You can save money on the baggage charges by making use of the generous allowances for hand luggage ; our washing machine ; fully fitted kitchen ; towels ; bedding ; library etc.
- We do not charge for those annoying extras which you have not expected eg. the welcome pack ; electricity and air conditioning etc.
- Drink the local Raki as it is very cheap and you can leave your sleeping tablets at home !
